Texas Council of Child Welfare Boards will be presenting a workshop on
The Role of Child Welfare Boards in Texas
at the TNOYS' 41st ANNUAL CONFERENCE 

on June 6th from 3:45 pm - 5:00 pm
Speakers - George Ford - Executive Director and Tim Allen - Former President 
Texas is the only state that has implemented county child welfare boards, with 193 in operation statewide. This workshop will explore the origin of child welfare boards in Texas and laws relating to their establishment and operation, as well as the relationship of county boards to the Texas Department of Family Protective Services (DFPS).

Regional Representatives MUST have all nominations narrowed down to 1 Nomination for each Category and have them emailed to the TCCWB Awards Committee Chair by June 3rd

 

Aging Out Institute's 2023 Awards Program application window opens on June 1st!  If you support youth aging out of Foster Care in any way, please consider applying for an award for a monetary prize!

Statewide Christmas Campaigns - throughout December, all CWB's throughout Texas solicit, some fundraise, & supply gifts for CPS Children including foster children, CPS children in their homes, & foster parents in need of gifts. Many also serve local area children of the community who are in need. This also includes food for families in many areas for the holidays.
