On November 3, 2017 George Ford was named the new executive Director of the Texas Council of Child Welfare Boards. Prior to being named the executive Director of the Texas Council Mr. Ford served from 1979 till 2016 as executive Director of Harris County Protective Services. Mr. Ford began his child welfare career as a case worker with Harris County Protective Services in 1970. He is a graduate of East Texas Baptist College and South Texas College of law. Mr. Ford is a licensed master social worker and an attorney. He is married to Carol Ford who he met at East Texas Baptist College, and they reside in Houston.
