Jeanette Elias

Jeanette Crear Elias, a community volunteer who has served on the Galveston Children Services Board since 2007. She has served as Board Chair and currently Vice Chair of the Galveston County Children Services Board. Not having worked in the Children Services agencies, this has been a great experience to learn how the agencies worked together and how they come together for the betterment of the Children.  She has been an active participant in her Board's local activities. Ms. Elias represents her local county as one of three regional representatives from Region 6 on the Texas Council of Child Welfare Boards. She is the chair of the Awards Committee which each year receive nominations from across the State for persons that have positively  impacted Children in their respective areas throughout the year.  The winners are recognize each year at an Awards Luncheon held in the Fall.

When she is not volunteering her service with the Children Services Board, Ms. Elias is a Registered nurse and works as a Nurse Manager at the Michael E. DeBakey V A Medical Center in Houston, Texas. She resides in League City and is married to Lydell Elias, they have three adult children and four grandsons.
