The Texas Department of Family and Protective Services has released its Annual Report & Data Book for 2015 on Tuesday. This report contains an overview of DFPS programs, services and statistics on abuse and neglect in Texas.
Each year the Texas Council of Child Welfare Boards accepts statewide nominations from Regional Councils for individuals and organizations whose accomplishments positively impact our foster care community.

Comprehensive training and orientation for Child Welfare Board members is necessary for a successful and effective partnership between the Board, CPS and the community. The local CWB is encouraged to work with the local CPS liaison and TCCWB to obtain ongoing training to gain further understanding of CPS and the role of the Board.
